A couple of weeks ago I organised a clinic at the yard, with Vicky the founder of the Equiseat Aid.I've struggled alot myself with straightness, especially after having my accident 4yrs ago. I go to a caropractor every month, but still find it hard to be straight.I must admit I was quite skeptical to start with, but I actually got goose bumps a couple of times, with the results.I can't recommend the Equiseat Aid enough, it really does make a difference. Some of the horses found it impossible to be straight with the rider on, but with the seat aid on they could move alot more freely and alot straighter.I have tried it on a couple of my clients, and found a huge difference.I ride in mine, and have found its helping me with my much weaker side.Thankyou Victoria Stanbridge and Ruth Schofield

The demo at Richmond Equestrian Centre was very informative. The hosts were friendly, enthusiastic and explained how the Equiseat Aid works to benefit both rider and horse. The three live demo participants went through a series of pre-aid analysis in walk, trot & canter, which gave insight into their individual balance & symmetry discrepancies, helping to identify the dominant/weaker side of each pair. After a period of gait changes on both reins, while using the Equiseat Aid, the improvement in rider straightness became apparent. More significant, was the eventual shift in the balance, suppleness and softness of each horse/pony. Most notable was the more relaxed head carriage and improved hind leg motion, working under the body and tracking up more, resulting in a more balanced and consistent way of going. It was well worth attending the demo, to see the effects of the Equiseat Aid. It's clear that the longer term improvements will take a period of time for both rider and horse to adjust to the changes in muscle memory, however, we were impressed with what we observed and would recommend other riders to consider this simple but effective aid.
