These key steps will help you optimise the benefits of Equiseat Aid so you and your horse build better habits:
-
Equiseat Aid is supplied with our standard block size, recommended for all riders. We also supply Equiseat Aid with smaller blocks, once you feel as though you are straight but still want a little support every now and then. The small blocks are also suited to those riders who may have very large knee rolls on their dressage saddle.
-
Equiseat Aid should be worn on rider's strongest leg - usually the 'gripping' or 'bracing' leg which feels shorter or prime to losing a stirrup. Look for hair rubs on the horses side as a tell tale sign.
-
Gripping or bracing typically tips the rider's weight to the opposite side, giving the appearance of a longer leg and makes it difficult for the horse to track up straight.
We have lots of 'How to’ videos and our general FAQ on our website and Social Media for more information and support.
When fitting the Equiseat Aid, you simply velcro it on around your leg where it feels most comfortable. As long as it is tight enough that it won't slip, and doesn't feel uncomfortable then it will be on correctly.
In the meantime, if you need any help or advice please email: enquiries@equiseataid.com
If you are struggling to understand which leg you need to wear the Equiseat Aid on, you can send us a video over to the above email address and we can help you.
Congratulations on embarking on your Equiseat Aid journey towards creating a happier horse!
